For some reason, IKEA crib mattress wasn’t the first one that jumped onto my mind when I was searching for crib mattress. But someone pointed out that they liked their crib mattress from IKEA, which inspired me to take a closer look at our crib mattresses.

There are currently four different crib mattresses at IKEA. They are ranging from $29.99 to $69.99. Fair enough price. The thickness of our mattresses are ranging from 2″-almost 4″. The size of the mattresses are all 52 ” by 27 1/2 ” which is universal I believe. They are sultan snarka, blunda, sussa and dromma. (priced from low to high.) The only inner spring mattress is sultan dromma which has 108 coils. All the other mattresses are foam mattresses. What kind of mattress to choose is your choice. Some people like thicker mattress. I think it won’t be a bad idea to get 2 mattresses. One on top of another so that it’s easier to grab her and when she gets older, she can use the softer one. Because the prices are so good, 2 will still be cheaper than most mattresses I saw from department stores. So I am thinking of getting Sultan dromma & Sultan blunda (or sussa). For less than $120, they should last a while.
